Fang Talks

Gullible

I read a writing prompt once and can’t get over how cool it is.

The premise was set as pets living a couple times as long as humans. They might take up roles of family guardian, looking after multiple generations, witnessing it all. Initially I couldn’t let this go because what if these pets also get thrice as big as normal and the gentle giant vibes that brings. But now I’m having trouble not applying this story to practically everything.

The best one has to be houses though. Or, not houses, homes I should say. They already play that role, of the caretaker. People don’t realize it, but it’s true. When your walls randomly creak and the pipes in them make pinging noises, no need to be scared. Feel happy instead! Your house is comfortable enough around you to let loose, give a little.

Isn’t that the most wonderful thing?
