What an exciting start to the year!
Remember FOSDEM, that open source software conference? I submitted a talk proposal for last year, but it got rejected. Tried again for this year though, and last night I saw an email saying my talk got accepted! This means I not only get to attend one of the biggest international OSS conferences… I get to speak about Urbit while I’m there!
The deadline for announcing accepted talks was somewhere mid December, so I thought my chance had passed, but apparently not! This means I only have a single month to prepare my presentation. Given that I already wrote an outline for it, that should be plenty though.
Man, I’m kind of nervous already. My fate has been sealed, I have to go through with this now!
