To bring back home a new me.
The way that’s worded makes it sound laughably dramatic, so let me explain. Since arriving here in San Francisco, I’ve picked up a slightly different pattern of life than I used to have back at home. No surprise, of course: I’m living on vacation time! But this is vacation time I’m partially spending on doing non-vacation things, like work. So much so, in fact, that it doesn’t seem at all impossible for me to distribute my time in the same way after I get back home.
It’s a slightly more active lifestyle. In the mornings I go out for a hike or a bike ride, just a few hours, and then in the afternoon I sit myself down and try to get some work done. If I’m gone for too long I can make up for lost time the next day, going out for long every single day seems like a bit much. There’s definitely ways to make that fit.
Working from home’s going to be a weird thing to return to, but I feel like I’m in a good position now to make the most of it. You know, just not wasting away in my room and instead opting to go out and actually be active sometimes.
Gotta keep on living like it’s summer 2017!
