These knees of mine, man.
Not to say the overnighter wasn’t totally worth it. It was very much suboptimal, but I still have the desire to go out again. For that alone I’d call it totally worth it. Not to mention, I learned about the edges of my limits. That’s also the painful part though. Anything more than a slow stroll cripples me, and I just so happen to be the kind of person who much prefers faster pacing.
Alas, it is what it is, and I must focus on getting these very important joints back into their prime state. I’ll have to find a good balance between not sitting idly too much and overworking them. Failing to do so isn’t likely to cause any kind of damage, but it certainly won’t help the recovery either.
For now, I’ll try and ride the high of just Having Done The Thing a little longer, start testing the waters again next week.
