Fang Talks

There’s always an out if you’re desperate enough.

Giving up isn’t the right thing to do. If you started something, commit to it, stick to the plan. Quitting halfway through will instill in you the mentality that you can always use your outs. And you can, but it’s not always a good idea. Best to keep yourself sharp and the temptation to give up low.

But imagine how comfy it’d be, just being done with whatever the struggle is. Just giving up, walking the easy road. Just throwing it all to the wind like nobody’s business, not caring for whatever consequences are lining themselves up behind not succeeding. Maybe they’re consequences you’ll have to live with, but maybe there’s an out for that too.

I should probably just go to sleep.

I have given up. I hate the idea of it and it’s not usually an option for me. But once or twice, the realization has dawned on me that I don’t need to get through a situation.

    I could quit.

It’s beautiful. A real revelation, realizing that you can walk away.

You should go to sleep. :)

I would say that there may be some things you should consider giving up on but your internship isn’t one of them. That’s too important. There has to be something smaller that you can let go of.

Literally nothing smaller than my sense of self-worth. Would that work?
