Fang Talks

There’s something nice about, well, knowing where you’re going.

That sounds kind of stupid, and it probably is. I’m really grasping here for things to write about, inspiration for all kinds of writing is hitting a heavy low again. Struggles aside though, having a goal and a clear path in mind always really helps put that extra bit of confidence in your step. And sometimes that can push you over from kind of stutter-y, slow movements to actions that just flow together really well.

It’s not some big dramatic thing, it works for simple tasks too. If I’m vacuuming the house, it’s nice to lightly pre-plan all the sweeps you’re going to be doing as you go along, so that you can guide your one movement over into the next. You know where to go, so you can go there without friction.

Always stay one mental step ahead of your physical self, get that micro-optimization going.

Staying one step ahead of yourself is great advice. It helps to know where you plan to be. That way you don’t get stuck not knowing what to do next.

This comment is basically your post in two sentences.

Yet I managed to turn those two sentences into two paragraphs. Guess that’s also some sort of skill.

I’m at kind of a low point for writing ideas, too. It’s okay. These things kind of happen in cycles and it will come back around.

But it sucks while the dry spell happens.
