Or: learn not to throw everything you have worked for away at the last possible moment.
Had a friend over to play some Smash today, which was fun as always. Been a while since we last played together, and his first time playing in Smash 4, so we were just fooling around for the larger part. Still had a few games where we went try-hard though, because you can’t play a one-on-one fighting game and not go balls to the wall at least once. Until you end up killing yourself in an attempt to make an already certain KO look flashy.
That’s actually a common theme you see in lots of PvP video games, players bad mannering each other when they think they already have fully assured victory, only to knock down those odds in the process. I’ve actually played matches myself where a comeback from the losing team was facilitated by stupidity from the team that thought they had it all.
And that’s why you stay serious about things until the very end. It’s only over when it actually is.
