Fang Talks

Or short. Well, one causes the other.

I was going to write a post about how civilians are creating a “big brother is watching you” environment by themselves. Yes, the government is pushing this, but we play a decent role in it in our everyday lives as well. Anyway, I’m not going to talk about that today because I just sketched out a quick and dirty interface design for a thing I likely won’t be doing anytime soon: a mobile application. And due to my shitty handwriting I can’t not hold the pen tightly and cramped, so it’s hurting my hand more than the keyboard does.

Oh, you’re wondering about that thing? A seriously simple to-do application is all. Not sure if I want to establish “Seriously Simple” as a line of things I make, but there’s definitely potential there. There’s just so much stuff out there for which I want a simple, bare-bones application for, yet everything on the market is either bloated or shoddy. (I probably ain’t looking hard enough.) And if it’s that simple, I might as well make it myself, right?

“Seriously Simple Software”. Yeah, that’s way too stupid to work.

“Seriously Simple Software” doesn’t sound as stupid as you think. It could be good to brand yourself like that and keep making seriously simple stuff, pun intended. As far as people making the big brother society themselves, well there’s probably a lot you can say about that. Heck Twitter alone does that.
