Fang Talks

Shitposting, secured!

Things in the broadest sense of the word, in that there was only a single productive activity I did today. But I did it well.

Yesterday I talked about how, now that there’s people in the house again, I need to keep up my image and be productive again from time to time. Believe it or not, that’s actually how it went down. “Fuck. As good as it is, I can’t sit here watching Futurama all day.” I pushed it all aside and buckled down. I’ve been working on rebuilding Panic Attack’s core from scratch for a while now, though the last real addition was made over two weeks ago. Today I finished the basics of the system that cycles you through the different mini-games, and made some improvements to the mini-game template.

Panic Attack basic progress

I told you I’d be back to making progress! Sure it doesn’t look the prettiest, but it’s functional and easy to polish up now. Hell, see how smooth that UI highlight moves, and how fluently those grey (iron) panels slide around? I rolled my own class for that, and it’s grown to become way more than just a simple tool for in-between-ing. You can easily use it for timers, request any information from it at any time, and even have it execute a piece of code when it’s done!

Not that all that means anything to you, the eventual end user. But it’s cool stuff nonetheless, and it feels good making some progress again. Also going to do some more graph-related web shenanigans soon, after which I’ll probably have grown the balls to finish that reddit post position tracker.

Now if only my jam bro would stop being offline.

    Dear webmaster,

I tried playing your game thingy, but it doesn’t work. The mouse moves on its own, and I can’t select anything. I sincerely think I broke the Internet when I deleted my recycle bin last night. Please help?

Dear 80 year old Internet user,

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
