Do the impossible, see the invisible

Well yeah, that’s what you could call it.

This damned fucking school project. We went into this last block of school all “yeah, let’s build a team of elites and ace the project!” We did manage to build a really good team. Too bad a good chunk of that goes to waste when there’s a lot of cooperation required between teams as well. I mean, damnit, the one time we get a good crew together we’re still hindered by a bunch of incompetent idiots. (That’s an exaggeration, but it definitely feels like that sometimes.)

Quick rundown, we have to make a “compose and order your holiday” application. This has to span plane flights, local transportation, hotel arrangements and attractions. Though we’re required to implement all of these individually, we also have to use one of these “services” as implemented by another team. Woo, web services! Cool and all, but this means we have to set a standard for all these things to ensures everything’s cross-compatible. Wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for some awfully retarded decisions made during the meetings I couldn’t attend. I wanted to go, but simply couldn’t. And now shit’s fucked up yo.

Deadline’s coming Monday. We’re making nice progress though, got almost every service implemented now. Let’s hope the service of the team we have to use conforms to roughly the same standards as well. Guess we’ll see tomorrow, when (hopefully) every team has their stuff set up and done.

Over the last two days I’ve had to change one service over ten times already.
