It’s slowly starting to warm up, it’s really feeling like spring already!
That’s about the only good news though. School’s been pretty busy what with the project going on, and lots of smaller assignments too. Those can usually be done in an hour or two, but you have to sort of shoehorn them into your schedule which just causes everything to feel a bit worse.
Oh and there’s this thing. For the last couple months there’s barely been any real work to do for my job. And now that I’m already busy with other things, guess what happens? Work starts piling up, the kind that actually takes effort. Sure it provides me with a much-needed boost to the bank, but the timing isn’t all that great. Completely burned out right now actually, since I spent most of my time after dinner working on the same old boring Joomla shit as always.
Earlier today I was notified my comments weren’t working properly. Apparently it was still asking you to fill in the “author’s name” field, despite it now showing (since you already proved your worth). Was in class when this was discovered, but luckily a break was near. Less than five minutes later, got it fixed. The code was hellbent on requiring a correct answer, even if you were already marked to not be a spambot. Taught it some manners, and it should be behaving fine now.
It’s almost midnight now, and I have an important decision to make. Stay up a little longer to work on the RSS reader, or go to bed so I can get up earlier to touch up some chunks of the job work I did today? (or stay up longer and do nothing particularly productive. As attractive as an option that is, I don’t think it’s a very good one.)
Know what, best of both worlds. I’ll give myself half an hour of uptime before heading for bed. Let’s go, go, go!
