Power of youth

Sure it isn’t packed tightly, but that’s part of the problem.

So the new semester started yesterday. Third term of this year, and it’s already sub-par like all that came before it. Patterns and Frameworks in mostly theoretical, and with Software Architecture we’re apparently passing up on the big chunk of stuff in the middle that’s actually about programming software. Instead, we’ll be spending this term looking at the beginning and end of the process in its entirety. Which is fucking stupid because we barely have any practical knowledge to apply what we’re learning to. Project number seven will involve actual programming again, I’m assuming there’ll be some issues, people struggling with that.

And of course we got a new schedule. I’d say it’s about as bad as the previous one, maybe even a tad worse. Up early on Mondays and Fridays, at school ’til 5:30 PM on Thursdays. Wednesdays are reserved for the project and we got nothing on Tuesdays. It really isn’t a trip to hell, but I wouldn’t call it a walk in the park either. Then again, I’m probably too spoiled from all the good and easy schedules we had earlier. I know people who got it much worse, that helps put things into perspective.

I really wanted to go to bed early today, what with having to get up at 6 in the morning tomorrow. But just when I’m about to wrap this post up my sis goes in for her evening shower. Might as well get some popcorn, I can finish a movie before she’s out of there. There go my eight hours of sleep a night… again.

Most people would resort to snorting caffeine. Me? I flex my smile muscles and move on. (Also, 1111th post. Woo!)
