Caves, p62

Here’s to another (hopefully) great part! (previous)

Mitchell stood waiting by the western gate, slowly munching on a piece of bread he picked up at the market. It had been a few hours and he had a hunch she’d show up soon. And sooner rather than later, she arrived. Still trying to catch her breath, she uttered her message. ‘Got a couple… on my tail.’ Heavy breath out, and in. ‘Was a lot of ’em. Super scary!’
‘But you made it back in one piece, thank God!’ He briefly inspected her for injuries, but she seemed to be fine. ‘So how many did you say were coming?’
‘Think two…’ She put her hands on her head to make breathing a bit easier. ‘Shook some off, think there’s two left.’
This wasn’t exactly according to plan, but something Mitchell had taken into account. ‘Great. Now take shelter, I’ll signal the alarm.’
‘Hey Mitch.’ She put her hand on his shoulder as she passed by him. ‘You got this.’
‘Yeah.’ He wouldn’t be the first to admit it, but he was actually having second thoughts about the brilliance of his plan. Andrea’s reassurance blew away those doubts and filled him with the energy he needed. ‘I got this.’

After he lost sight of Andrea he took the stairs directly next to the gate. They led up to one of the bell towers. Judging from the layer of dust settled on the bell, it hadn’t been used in a long time. With one good pull on the rope Mitchell sent the bell swinging. He had quite the view, and with each toll of the bell more heads turned to look in his direction. They appeared in a state of confusion. People stood around, wondering what was going on. Despite not knowing what was going on, the Bastion emptied and a fair number of members spread throughout town to see if they could help anywhere.
Deciding he needed to inform, Mitchell took a deep breath and yelled at the top of his lungs. But his words weren’t heard. A loud roar quaked the caves and struck fear into the hearts of those that heard it. Everyone. Mitchell turned and saw his enemy closing in from the distance. The first wyvern had arrived.

That was tough, but I made it through. Tune in again soon for the next episode of Dragonball C! (next)

This is the best yet. The story flowed and has a really good ending.

I don’t think I can really spot any problems. I am pretty tired though. If I was to offer any suggestions it would be to change the full stop after “those that heard it.” to a semi-colon.
