Fang Talks

Mr. Poopybutthole

And all the great times we know and love.

So apparently a small band was doing a Jimmy Hendrix cover night in a local bar. As it happens, it’s a band my dad’s a fan of. He also knows the guitarist and singer through his younger brother. Decided to go with him and check it out, and a friend was coming as well. It was pretty good, actually. Music was great, atmosphere was cool and the stage smoke was a bit annoying. Dad also met up with some people he knew and happened to encounter, which was pretty cool.

It wasn’t anything big, just a small stage in a relatively small place with a sizable audience. They even listened to our encore, twice. Good times. It really has that unique charm. The audio isn’t superb, not everything is in top-notch state, but that’s what makes it so special. Really cool to see.

I’ll keep it at that for today. Be back tomorrow with a new installment of Caves. (Right?)

Man, I wish I had more local bars that were actually decent in my area.

I like seeing shows like that, minus the smoke. I do hate, though, when the two of us go to meet up at a bar to get some work done and a really, REALLY bad cover band is there, and we can’t hear anything but some fool screeching to some out-of-time AC/DC song.
