Fang Talks

It's not a plot hole, it's a plot device!

I continue to be amazed with how long I’ve been keeping this up. Last part goes here, in case you missed it.

Mitchell and Andrea had safely escorted Derrik back to town. It had been quite late already, so after receiving their ₩700 and splitting it up evenly, they went home. It wasn’t much, but Mitchell could afford staying another week at the inn. Meanwhile, Derrik had gone to deliver the sample of the strange rock he had collected to the research institute, for further examination. The health of the forest was a pretty important matter, after all.

The next day, Mitchell hung out in the Bastion again. He discussed his first completed job with Andrea and her friends, and discussed the oddity they had encountered. ‘Apart from that it wasn’t particularly exciting though.’
‘Yeah, but we didn’t have the time to go exploring or anything!’ Andrea refuted. ‘You should come mapping with me sometime!’

I’m just dropping it there since I’ll bring things to shit otherwise. I need to start thinking this out a bit more before I start digging my own grave. I have a vague idea of where I’m going, but no clue as to how I’m going to build around it. I’ll have another three days to work this out, then the next part needs to come.

Let’s hope I can do it in time. (Apparently not.)

You know how often I have any idea of what’s going to happen in a story?

I just write and watch the magic happen. I’ve created chapters I never intended to make. I’ve made a story five times longer than I ever intended it to be. Don’t worry about something going to shit, just write it down.
