Well everyone, welcome to the year of 2013!
To celebrate the coming of hover boards, teleportation, distant planetary colonies, good humanoid robots and durably smartphones, I went and had a great night partying with friends. We had a blast, got… kind of wasted, and returned home safely to sleep from seven AM to three PM. But now that the introduction is over, what can we expect from 2013?
I don’t do new year’s resolutions (2880×1800 pixels, perhaps?) since I always end up just forgetting about them and continuing on with my life. I do, however, have a few plans for this year. I can’t guarantee any of them, but I’m already hard at work (or not) to make sure they come through.
In a few weeks form now, Fang Talks will be celebrating its second anniversary. This, of course, will come paired with the usual festivities and shiny new things. I won’t spoil much, but I’ve got a lot of things planned there, most of which aren’t even directly related to the blog anymore.
The intention to finish currently ongoing projects is very much present. I will be writing fiction, doing more webdev, and try to work out some possibly very potent ideas I’ve been walking around with for a while. If and how these will come to fruition is for time to tell, but the plans are there!
In the summer I may or may not go traveling again. If at that time possible, I might pay our good old friend Mark a visit, but we’ll have to see how circumstances are by then. A recently brought up plan is to travel around Europe (or beyond?) with a few friends, provided we all have saved enough money to do so. It may have to wait another year due to everything being expensive, but we’ll see about that.
I’d write down more, but the thing is, the future isn’t certain, and it’s constantly in the making, meaning changes can be made at any time. So why don’t you go out and shape your future to be the way you want it to be? The year’s short, so please, do make the most out of it.
Happy new year, everyone!
