Fang Talks

Coding with your clogs on.

Witty opening remark.

Seriously though, at the time of writing I’m actually getting stuff done! Well, not right now, because now I’m writing a blog post, but otherwise, I’d say I’m coming along pretty okay! Also, it’s Christmas break, which means that if I can keep this productive streak going I’ll get a full two weeks of things done!

Most of that productiveness went (and is still going) towards that one secretproject which I’ve been hinting at here and there. There’s quite the big pointer in yesterday’s post, actually! Think you can find it?

There was a huge bummer today though. I decided to pick up Pokemon Silver again, as we’ve been doing with Red as well. As it turns out, the internal battery has run dry, rendering the cartridge unable to hold save data. Saving is pretty much a necessity, so the game’s now unplayable.
I managed to get my hands on the exact type of battery that’s in there right now, but I can’t get the damn thing to open. Nintendo, for obvious reasons, used one of those exclusive screws that need a game bit screwdriver. Couldn’t use anything else (I tried quite a lot of things), so I ended up ordering a game bit online. Real cheap though, ~five Euros and free shipping.

Now the waiting game starts.

You actually went as far as to buy a game bit? A new cartridge might have been cheaper, especially if you add in the price of the battery. Oh well, I admire your want and how far you’re willing to go for that want.
