I’ve probably blogged about this before, but today’s post comes in a bit of a different setting.
Just had a 30-minute phone call with a customer about the site we’re building for him, and how he can edit the content himself. We had arranged to call around seven PM, but he called over an hour later and took me by surprise. “Ugh.” Oh well, let’s do this then.
I explained some stuff to him, and in between that and him writing some things down, we also chatted a little bit about what I study and such. He said I explained it clearly and that he understood, and that felt good. I mean, it isn’t exactly the most fun thing in the world to do, explain how to use a Content Management System to someone who has trouble handling computers, but it’s rewarding when they’re nice people. Feels good to leave them wiser and satisfied with your service.
But enough of that, I oughta be leaving for the boy’s night now (or whatever the fuck I’m supposed to call it).
