Fang Talks

It’s something a lot of people suffer from these days, and it’s holding us back as a humanity.

People are pretty content with what they have right now. And that’s cool really, but it stops being that nice when something better comes along, and people are all “eh, I already got something good, so why switch?”
That, dear readers, is what is know as the Good Enough Syndrome. And that’s terrible.

People being okay with what they have, not willing to move onto the better stuff, the future, is drastically holding us back. Sure, personal computers and smartphones have come a long way, but other than that…
For example, quite a few years back now, electric cars and biofuel cars were invented. They were pretty awesome compared to the normal cars (especially when it comes to gas usage), but people were content with what they had since it worked fine, and thus didn’t see the reason to switch. If that market did kick off back then, global warming would’ve been a tad bit less worse.

Innovation needs people supporting its ideas and inventions. If people don’t care enough, then innovation will not come, or very slowly at best. The future needs to be stepped into, holding onto the present or past won’t do much.

Give innovation the push it needs. Welcome to the future!

For some reason, change (even if it’s for the better) is never easy. That’s why we end up having governments which make some things mandatory.

Have you any idea how unweildy electrical cars are with their power cords and batteries that have to charge for 14 hours?
(Also says the guy with a non-smart cellphone. x’D)
