Japanese food

Oh boy I’m so stuffed you have no idea.

Went to a Japanese restaurant with my mom today. She promised we’d go dine there sometime, like one and a half year back, so it was about damn time we actually went. It’s one that somewhat recently opened up in town, and they had a pretty neat all-you-can-eat offer. Also, another good chance to get away from the finals for a little bit (for which I’m studying way too little :C).

We had four “rounds” to order food, and 5 dishes per person to order per round. When I say dishes it was stuff you could order. Different kinds of sushi, rolls, meat, dumplings, all the good stuff.
I actually ate squid. It wasn’t gross, but it wasn’t particularly tasty and the fact that it was pretty hard to chew didn’t help either.
Also fried oyster. The outside was crispy, but the inside was still all snotty and slimy. That wasn’t the bad part though, I could handle that. Didn’t really like the taste of it, though I have tasted something similar before (but I still can’t remember what it was).
After three rounds of small dishes we were already really full, and decided to call it a day. I still think we should’ve ordered what we still could and put it in our pockets for later consumption.

…I should’ve hit return twice more often.

I have tasted squid in a Japanese restaurant too, an interesting food indeed.
Overall, I like Japanese food. One of the most interesting things about it, is that you can get stuffed, yet, the “heaviness” feeling isn’t as strong as eating some European or american food.

I adore Japan but I don’t think I could live there simply because of the food. It’s… not for me lol!

I don’t really like most Japanese food either. Their noodles are damn good and their tempura is mouth watering, but sushi and the like makes me barf. Also, I hate wasabi.

Om nom nom, Japanese food can be quite tasty when well prepared.

As much as I love the Japanese and their culture, I really am yet to try Japanese food. There is a supermarket near me that sells sushi but I’m still not ready to try it yet.

Nothing beats getting engorged every now and then, and it’s so easy to do at Japanese restaurants
