Fang Talks

Actually no I just read their summaries and noted some stuff down, that’s all.

Got my Dutch oral tomorrow, got to tell my (in conversations dominant) teacher all about the books I read. Boy oh boy is that a task I’m not looking forward to.

As said, I didn’t read all of the books on my list. Sure, I read most of them, but come on, I already read, like, fucken twelve or something, couldn’t really be arced to read another three, now could I?

Also I’ll say it now, before people barf up in the comments again: Dutch is my native language, I did not voluntarily choose this subject. Shitty language, stupid subject. Oh and most of the “literature” is all about love, relationship problems and porn. Not exactly my cup of tea.

On a completely different note, the party yesterday was awesome! Ate delicious pies, played some Mario Kart (totally beat the shit out of everyone, as usual ;D), and also dropped in for a game of Yu-Gi-Oh. We were with six players, so played in teams of three. We totally shattered the opposing team. Had an insect deck, and it was killer. Got DNA Surgery and Bug Trap (or what was it called again) right on my first turn, so all monsters on the field became insects and none of the opponent’s insect monsters were allowed to attack. Also, drew the Insect Queen, who gained attack points for every insect on the field, so naturally that was pretty overkill.

So yeah hope I survive my oral tomorrow.

I agree on you not actually reading all of the books that were needed. Why is that? Well, I believe that the educational system makes us do too much of unnecessary tasks. You should choose what is important for you and your future, not some program.

Three books? One day? Wait…were they picture books? Pop up books? How long were they?

You didn’t read a single word of the post. Fuck you! :D

  • 26/03/2012 (3:33 PM)

You have a new follower :D!

If not for your cards, I would have you overrun by me zombies…

For your teacher’s sake, get DNA Surgery and Bug Trap, and maybe Insect Queen :P

    You poor!

I kinda wish I still remembered how to play Yu-Gi-Oh, it was fun back in the day.

    • 26/03/2012 (4:39 PM)

I remember playing it the first week the cards came out. We totally messed up the rules

  • 26/03/2012 (3:55 AM)

Eh, close enough to reading them. Also gotta love yugioh and mario kart.

time will come when you’ll be reading books for pleasure, rather than business. :D

I can’t say I’m a fan of learning my native language as well. I don’t really see the need to use Mandarin on a day to day basis.

Dutch oral has a whole different meaning over here…but good luck

  • 26/03/2012 (12:11 AM)

I can’t believe you said that last bit with a straight face. The only reason you won at Mario Kart was because I wasn’t there, though you may have beaten me at Yu-Gi-Oh

  • 25/03/2012 (10:26 PM)

    Nice mario kart is fun

  • 25/03/2012 (10:16 PM)

That, and coupled with my (well, Yilmaz’) awesome fire deck which contained the Raging Flame Sprite, we were doubly overkill because I was able to attack our opponents’ Life Points directly, and have 1000 more ATK points with each consecutive attack. Oh Yeah. We totally rocked. And also I beat you at Mario Kart. At times.

  • 25/03/2012 (8:56 PM)

I’m shit at Mario Kart. I’m shit at anything that involves controlling a vehicle. I’ll be dangerous on the roads.

Also yeah, being forced to read is really fuckin’ boring. They should let us read contemporary literature. You know, analysis and discussion of which is actually somewhat goddamn relevant.
