Fang Talks

Coolest blog in town.

And I wasn’t even nervous. Go figure.

Actually deep down I probably am, but hey, I’ll throw up once tomorrow and be done with it.
The presentation is about the research we did for that huge-ass essay we’re still working on. We have to explain sciencey stuff to people who know batshit about jack everything. Okay maybe not that bad, but you get the idea. And we only get 15 minutes, which is usually 10 minutes talking-time, and 5 minutes for questions and formalities and whatnot.

Got told today that my pronunciation isn’t even half bad though, and I used a cool commentator voice when I said “and I’m one of your hosts for tonight”. Jokes, cracking up, etc.

Hope the audiences won’t be all like “i dont give a fuck get me out of hereeee” though. Will have to do my best to work the crowd for a bit.

See y’all tomorrow, if I manage to survive!

I remember doing something like this and I was so nervous that I sometimes forget to speak in english and speak in my native language instead. I’m just glad I never have to go through that embarrassment ever again.

Tis very weird that you would have to do it in English, seeing as it’s not your first language =/

Good luck man, sounds like you’ll need it.

Your English is pretty good here on your blog, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. :)

    Ah essays those take forever!

That’s quite alright. Probably half the audience won’t speak more than two words of English. x’D. But it’s a strange phenomenon, isn’t it? The nervousness hasn’t hit me yet either… I bet it’s planning a stealth attack, we should keep our guard up, don’t you say?
