Spring cleaning!

Just a little earlier.

A while back you read about me getting a giant cupboard in my room, right? Back in the days when it was still in the living room, it had these two gigantic speakers in it, home-made by my dad. Very high quality and all that good stuff. Guess what? I’ll be borrow-using them, along with the amp my dad used with them! Huzzah!

Space has been rather lackluster in my room though, so some shuffling around with furniture and whatnot is required for them to make a nice fit on both sides of my desk. Needed more space, horizontally. What did I do? Stack furniture vertically.

That’s right, I put a cupboard on top of my low closet. And to be quite honest, it really doesn’t look that bad. But to get that thing lifted up, we had to empty it first. Came across quite a lot of shit I haven’t even looked at in years, so went through it all and threw away unnecessary stuff, and stored the old childhood things somewhere else in the house.

Got a gaping gap next to my desk now. Hopefully I can move the speakers in by tomorrow, ’cause I currently have to do with my MacMini’s built in speakers (which are pretty fucking shitty) because both the subwoofer and left tweeter of my previous setup were stored in aforementioned cupboard, and I don’t want to set them up on the floor.

CAN’T WAIT ‘TIL TOMORROW.

ah, finding old stuff while setting up new stuff is always pretty awesome. :)

This is why spring cleaning is important. You find good stuff buried with the old stuff.

I’ve been cleaning up a bit too.

Sounds like you’re making progress :)

What kind of amp is it? And, more importantly, what is the first tune you’re going to blast out of the speakers?

That is pretty cool. I’ve had to move some things around in my room but nothing nostalgically awesome like that :(
