Lentation (old)

Here’s a real quick one I may expand on later by editing this.

Lentation (unofficial term) is the act of consciously inducing an adrenaline rush, causing the slow-motion effect you experience when you, say, drop your expensive phone all of a sudden. Because of this you’ll experience everything in slow-motion, and you’ll appear to move faster. In fact, you are really moving faster and stronger, thanks to the adrenaline and the other hormones that come with it.

It goes without saying that this isn’t only useful in situations where you need to hurry the fuck up, but also in combat. Imagine seeing your opponent’s blow coming, then slowing down your perception of time, intercepting it perfectly, and delivering an incredibly speedy hit to his stomach!

Note that this does actually work. I can not say that from experience (yet) but I know my basic biology and what hormones do and how the nerve system works.

Too bad this takes lots of long months to learn and master semi-completely.

I can give myself an adrenaline rush immediately at any time but it doesn’t slow things down. I’ve read it can be bad for your heart so i don’t do it too often.

That would be awesome and sounds very Metal Gear Soliddy. But my life goes by twice as slow since I only celebrate my birthday once every two years….

Control adrenaline? That’s crazy! That’s sounds just like controlled lucid dreaming, it’s impossible for me.

I had heard about people who could give themselves adrenaline rushes to do this kind of thing, to be honest it would be a pretty cool skill to master.

I bet with that sensation, flying in one of those wingsuit things must feel like it’s taking days.
