Fang Talks

The answer is sex and money.

On Saturdays I always get a lot of coding done (or research on such, at least). Don’t know why, it just happens. Hell, I even started on a bit of Python today.

Heard someone talk about it today, said it was golden. So I checked it out, and so far, Learn Python The Hard Way looks pretty damn good. One of the better programming books I’ve checked out, in that it tells you how fucking important it is that you type out every exercise by hand instead of just blatantly copy-pasting it, running the working code, and saying “look gaiz i made programm”.

If you’re wanting to get started on programming, do yourself a favour and check that out. Even if it isn’t for programming Python specifically, it still teaches you a tons of basics and things you should really do in order to become good at programming.

Props to them for writing something awesome.

Can I recommend you the MIT online course? Search in google for it and take the “introduction to programming” course, 25h about python.
