That musical was great, and that website runs really smooth and all, but we rarely give any credit to the people who do the behind-the-scenes work.
Things like that are heavily under-appreciated. I’ll be focussing on programmers and software-stuff-developers, though, because that’s a bit closer to me.
We view thousands of websites a day, and use lots of different applications and programs, but why can we do that?
If it wasn’t for those guys behind YouTube, or hell, even the dude who designed the whole “internet” concept, you wouldn’t be able to do all that. But do you ever think of him? Nope. You think “hey, that dude put up a cool video”.
Ad what about software developers? You see the program’s icon, and maybe even the company’s logo, but you never think about the terribly heavy work that had to be done to make the program run as it runs.
Those kind of jobs may under-appreciated, but the people who do them usually enjoy what they do, and I guess that’s what really counts. Still, I think they deserve a lot more credit for what they do.
