I just saw the E3 Nintendo presentation. Missed the first part, but saw some 3DS and all of Wii U.
They gave us some 3DS news we already knew, a few small new things, and lots of information about Project Café, now knows as Wii U.
The Wii U is the next generation Wii. HUGELY improved graphics (beats the 360 and PS3 as far as I know). Truly majestic. But one of the biggest additions is the new controller.
It’s a dual-analog controller with a D-pad and ABXY buttons, and also have shoulder buttons. In the center of the (semi-big, rectangle) controller you’ll find a touch screen. This revolutionizes gaming.
Your dad wants to watch a baseball game on the TV you’re playing on? No problem, switch to your controller screen!
Want to quickly get something out of your inventory? Mess with your touch screen!
Take a look around, points the controller around the room!
Tons and tons of possibilities for the new controller.
Not only that, but they announced cross-platform Smash Bros, for 3DS and Wii U. OMIGOD I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
They also told us about quite a few new games to come, along with the usual gameplay footage.
I’ll try and include a overview video as soon as I get my hands on a good one. Until then, you might want to search around a bit by yourself.
Enjoy the shiny new things that’ll eat your money!
