Super-duper guy!

I wanted to say our internet, but it’s not like that anymore.

Google is waaay too powerful nowadays. They hate you? Give up on the internets, kid.

First of all, they’re the most used search engine. Search engines help you browse the internet. Sort of like that searching computer they have in libraries.
Google, however, took it a step further. They’re now not only showing sites with high relevance closer to the top, but also those with higher rating. Not only that, but I think that if you pay Google a nice sum of money, they put you up at the top if you continue paying.

The whole ranking thing makes it even harder for small sites to get big if they don’t do a lot of social advertising and the likes. Not only that, but if the folks there at Google like you, they’ll never give you even the slightest chance.

Google also runs most of the advertising on the web. You pay quite a lot if you want your stuff advertised, one cent per click. This doesn’t seem like much at first, but if you want one hundred clicks a day, that a buck a day, seven per week, about thirty per month, and so on. You can pay your service costs with that and still have money left if you don’t have an expensive one.
No money? No Google advertisement hits. Simple as that. If you’re small, you can’t start up very easily.

Oh but it gets worse. Google is making smartphones, and OSes for them. Not only that, but they also have their own OS for on computers: Google Chrome. It won’t be long before they start making their own line of PCs, that kind of stuff.

Don’t get me wrong, Google is a great search engine and everything, and they offer great services, but they cover a waaay too big area on the internet, leaving close to no growing space for smaller companies offering similar services.

Ah well, I guess that’s the way things have to go. Google did a very good job rising to the top as quick and as massively as they did, and I guess they deserve a lot of the support they get. They have awesome headquarters, by the way!

That’s all for today’s post. See ya!

Google controls the worlds leading search engine, the worlds most popular video sharing site, Youtube. The worlds largest growing Email site, Gmail. Just think of when you use the internet how many times you visit a site bought out or created by Google Inc. From Music to Translating foreign languages google seems to have it all. But is this a good thing? For the mass populus trying to quickly find or do something maybe, but for people trying to make a living off the internet? No. Google’s Revenue from 2010 was a estimated $30 Billion. Where as Facebook only reached 3. With these Massive compannies controling the internet how do you think our seaches are being placed? in order by most viewed or in order by most money was thrown at them. Google Inc. like every other companie, is out to make money and they don’t care if they’re indirectly ruining peoples lives. Most people don’t think about it but sooner or later people will realize that Google is not on your side. They will do anything for a quick buck.

No, but joke aside, I agree, it’s kind of hard to become popular these days… And google doesn’t help.
