Test week; 2/8

Had maths and physics today. And boy what a day it was. Who the hell puts MATHS and PHYSICS on the same damn day? We’ll confuse the formulas and stuff, people!

Anyhow, maths went well enough. Most of the questions were pretty easy, only a few I had problems with. And one formula wouldn’t plot right in my graphical calculator, so I was all like “what on EARTH am I doing wrong?”. I then checked the settings, and turned out it was on radials, not degrees like it was supposed to be.

Physics? Meh. With the first and most of the second question I completely stressed out. I was already rather nervous, seeing as how it’d be damn nice if I get a nice grade on this one, and then the first two questions seemed extremely hard. So, like I said, I became even more stressed.
I skipped over them and went to the third question. Pretty easy stuff, I think I aced that one. So I was all like “i-it’s okay… I c-can do this…”. Fourth question, pretty okay, too. Bit hard at places, but it was do-able. Fifth, final question. Let’s just not talk about that one, shall we?

I went back to the first two questions, broke my head over them, and mostly fixed the second one. All that was left was the first one. Tried some stuff out, fiddles around a bit, and just put something which I thought may be right.
In the final minute of the test, however, I looked at it again, and thought; “Oh… So THAT’S how you do it…” I knew I was terribly low on time, though, so I opened the BINAS (“Biologie, Natuurkunde, Scheikunde (Dutch for Biology, Physics, Chemistry)) and began quickly looking through it like a mad man. I found what I needed, and jotted it down extremely fast, with extreme accuracy. Epic background music had started playing, and I was calculating the final answer. I jotted that down too, and BUZZZ, end of class. I made it JUST. IN. TIME.

Glad to have written that down, can get it off my mind now.

Sorry to have bothered you guys with a rather detailed summary of how I finished my Physics test, but I felt like I had to.

Now just to wait for the notes on these… They’d better be good.

Tomorrow? German; formal letter writing. Need to do it right, got a bad average to crank up.

‘Till next time,
~ Fang

Yeahhh. I know the feeling. Its like the professors get together and say “OOOh check this one out, this will get ’em.” Cool though, stick in there. Same here if you need any help hit me up, I’m pretty good at that stuff as well.

It sounds odd, but I prefer to finish tough exams right before the end of the class. I won’t wait around though haha.

If you need help, Im an engineering student so feel free to send me a message and ill try to help. Sounds like you got it going pretty well though.

At least now you’ve got them both over with. :)

  • 27/01/2011 (4:25 PM)

i am terrible at math and physics >< good luck on your tests :D

  • 27/01/2011 (1:48 PM)

Math is quite easy for me, but physics always was a pain. Anyway good luck in the rest of your test

  • 27/01/2011 (1:05 PM)

    Look, so far so good.
    Rock on! :)

  • 27/01/2011 (7:48 AM)

Math and Physics in one day sounds like a headache to me.

  • 27/01/2011 (3:55 AM)

oh lord i had math and physics last semester :(

  • 26/01/2011 (11:43 PM)

Oh man, exams are the greatest freaking thing ever invented.
    Yeah no.
But it’s good to see you’re coping. Keep us updated!

  • 26/01/2011 (11:38 PM)

    What math are you in?

  • 26/01/2011 (11:00 PM)

Well done on finishing in time, and you definitely deserved the epic background music. Good luck with your German test!

  • 26/01/2011 (8:45 PM)

Hey, I always found it better to just skip the problems that I couldn’t immediately figure out and just go to the next, and return to the ones that had me stumped later. Just dont forget that you dont have to take the test in the order that they want you to!

    Good luck!

Glad to hear things are going well.

Just starting the semester here in the US, but looking over my finals I’m going to have Math and Physics on the same day too. Of course, I’m taking 3 math classes and 2 physics classes, but it’s still mean of them.

  • 26/01/2011 (6:12 PM)

I always found math easier than Physics, good to know you finished both exams on time, keep up the good work bro.

  • 26/01/2011 (6:05 PM)

Good to here things went ok! I had 2 Maths exams in a row last year that sucked. Good luck with the rest, Hope the next updates positive :)
