It's true, I really do!
Ideas for that Super Ludus story I'm working on keep popping up, and every now and then there's this really cool scene which looks really epic in my head. If only I could draw that on paper as a reference for the future, or possibly as artwork to go alongside the story shall I even get to concretely writing it.
On top of that, storyboards are ideal ways to keep your story organized, and you can always throw a quick glance and see where it's going in an instant. You can't do that with words, and when you make a real short summary a lot of data and info about the scene is lost.
Also, the looks of the characters. They tend to fluctuate in my mind, a lot. Being able to draw a sketch of a character's looks would definitely be a big help in storywriting. We don't want to end up with the character's hair color changing from one scene to another, now do we?
So many ideas, so little structure. And buoy oh buoy, only such a tiny amount of actual character development. I've only really worked out one solid path, the one of the main-most character, and even that is kind of just loose bricks stacked atop of each other. All the other characters are mostly just a personality trait or a backstory. It's kind of hard for me to have characters grow in my head, but sadly I can only do that for simple characters who fit me (ie the bland, boring person, or that one psycho guy).
So much to learn, still!
