What it boils down to is that those guys invented something that can make your everyday computer a lot faster. Now, this kind of stuff comes really expensive, so it isn't really consumer-market ready.
That's where their KickStarter bumps in. They want to us the funding they get to make it more affordable, and "allow everyone to have a supercomputer for just 99 Dollars". It sounds great, and the fact that parallel computer is going to become widely used gets me excited, so I really hope these guys can pull it off.
The goal hasn't been met yet, and there's seven days left, so if you have some spare money laying around, please fund them!
