Tomorrow it all begins

For real, this time.

First official day of school tomorrow. Oh buoy oh buoy. Pretty excited, I guess. We're starting off with a day full of Java programming (dear lord, why Java of all languages?). An hour and a half of theory, and then another ninety minutes of hands-on work. Sounds cool, and I'll be done by 12:30 PM!

At least, that's what I thought. But no, they had to go and plan in an introductory lecture on another one of our subjects, and the one I already loathe most: Professional Skills. They'll be telling us about what the subject's all about, and then move onto a lecture on IT and sustainability or something?

That's all fine and dandy, and it wouldn't be much of a problem... if the bloody thing didn't start at 3:15 PM, making me wait almost three damn hours!
I'll be checking to see if it's mandatory or not, 'cause that wasn't mentioned. If it isn't, I think I'll be skipping it, or at least ask if it's advised against to do so.

But yeah other than that, a day to look forward to, I hope. The book (a book for an IT study, puh-lease) on Java programming is pretty fat though. Add my laptop to that, and that's quite the weight to lug around all day.

Still better than having no laptop!

  1. Aren't Apple laptops really thin? In fact isn't yours specifically incredibly thin and light? I'd be worried about the big ass Java book breaking it. That introductory stuff doesn't sound mandatory, so feel free to skip it I say. Tis easier to get forgiveness than permission anyway.
