Okay okay I know I promised the podcast or audiobook or whatever, but I kind of forgot and I just don't have the time right now. Sorry folks, better luck soon!
Anyway, some things on my IT study seem pretty weird to me. And I'm only in my third week now. Yeah, I think we can expect the number of stuff on this list to grow somewhat linearly over the year, but we'll post what we have for now. Why not, right?
The SharePoint school has? It's chaotic as shit. It's not specific to the IT studies, mind you, but you'd expect them to have an at least somewhat decent system for group and school-file management, right? It's hard to find specific files for specific subjects, and once you get the hang of that it seems rather hard to go back to where you were a few pages ago.
Also it doesn't remember your login, even if you mark your current login as "on a private computer", damn it.
And then comes the whole "pen and paper" thing. We still do some exercises in class on paper, and guess what happens when we get a test? We don't write our programs on the computer, no, we have to literally write our code on a piece of paper. Coding, with God damned pen and paper. No syntax highlighting, no proper indentation, no compiling and no test-running. Sure you need to be able to do this, but it's a big rough to teach us how to make stuff with tools, and then take away our tools and require us to provide the same quality of stuff.
Supposed to print something out for tomorrow as well. We have a printer alright, but damn, can't we just hand it in digitally? Oh wait, we had to do that as well.
This is making no God damn sense.
