Now that I've graduated, I think it's safe for me to do another rant on why the system in society is pretty damn stupid.
We're going with the educational system for today, because that's basically the foundation for a lot of things later on in your life. That's also the reason why it's a bit of a problem.
You see, you need a good education to get a respectable job, and these days rarely anyone will take you if you don't have a degree. I know this doesn't go for the less professional jobs, but it still applies in a lot of places.
That means that if you, well, fuck up early on in your life (ie dropping out of school for whatever reason) you have a much tougher time in front of you than the people who did finish their school.
I don't think that's entirely fair. Some people just can't function well in a system or institution such as a school. They don't get a chance to show what they're capable of, instead they're just "thrown away" so to speak due to their terrible grades.
Grades mean nothing. If my dog died the day before the test I don't think I'd be able to do it well. Or if I'm very scared of failing, that it puts such pressure on me that I simply can't do the test.
Meh, there's still a lot of things I don't understand about everything.
