Final Fantasy (Advent Children)

Okay this all is coming from a dude who hasn't ever really played any Final Fantasy game so bear with me.

I watched Final Fantasy: Advent Children at a friend's today. And while it was a really epic movie and all (but fuck the physics, the movie doesn't need any of that), I found it to be a bit hazy in hindsight. The storyline, that is.

Of course, I haven't played the games so I don't really understand the full storyline (though I did watch the important game parts and all that were included with the movie) but I also feel like the movie didn't pay that much attention to it? All I saw was a bunch of people traveling around and about, fighting each other and drawing huge-ass swords for which their arms are a tad bit small (ie how the fuck do they fight with those), and other things.

Uhm, I guess that's the storyline there? Bluh, not thinking very well today. Came home, mom was all "Fang you look so pale" and I looked a bit pale. Don't know what it's from but eh, I don't feel sick or anything. May just be me being really tired for some reason though. I did spend half my day in a house with a dog and a cat, after and before biking a long way in hot weather with grass all around me. Allergies probably weren't helping there, I'd say.

But hey, we had a good time, so who really cares?

  1. I never got into the whole final fantasy thing...I always thought it was an odd title. 'Really how final is this fantasy?'

  2. Maybe you've not been outside much lately? Anyway, when watching anime or playing games the first thing you have to do is throw physics out the window. I really liked Advent Children, but it didn't seem to have too much to do with the game. I think you can watch it without any prior knowledge of the game, and still get a good kick. Most of the important things are mentioned. The movie is good, and Bien was a good person to watch it with. You should watch it as many times as her, and maybe you'll get it.

  3. You probably over-exerted yourself in the heat. As for Advent Children, Paul and I tried to watch that once and got so bored we turned it off lol!
